The Tools You Need to Make a Cocktail
The few tools that you need to make this cocktail, is the following:
Jigger or measuring cup
If you're just getting started, we recommend picking up a cocktail shaker set. A cocktail maker kit is easy to buy and will have everything you need. This is a perfect set for beginner cocktail makers. This set is nice since it includes all you need: a shaker, jigger, and muddler.
What to Do Before Making a Cocktail
To prepare yourself for success, prep everything before you get started. Have all your ingredients out, sliced, chopped and juiced. This will help the process move quicker and smoother. There is nothing more frustrating than having to search for a jalapeno in the middle of making a cocktail!
Also, when you've juiced the lime and grapefruit, toss it right away! It's easy to get overwhelmed when you have everything all over the place, so keep a clean space and look for your next ingredient.
Typically, I prepare this drink for two or three people. So double up the recipe in the shaker and serve two people at once!
For the lightweights, including me, I modify the recipe and add in 1 ounce of vodka instead of 2 oz and top up with more ginger beer at the end. If you follow these simple tips, you'll be a Ginger Spice Cocktail master in no time!
